The son of Simcha and Solomon (Shlomo). He was born on the 3rd of Cheshvan 5737 (19.10.1974) in Ramat Gan, the brother of Chaim and Rosalie, a shy and introverted child who grew up and became a smiling young man.

Eyal has a rare kindness. He was one of the few people who really you can say on them that they a too “good”.

Eyal grew up in the Matamid neighborhood in Ramat Gan and studied at the Hashmonaim Elementary School in the D. Kalai in Givatayim in the sociological track. During his high school years, he developed a love for computers, in which he continued to study and deepen academic studies in this field even after his discharge from the army.
Eyal liked to travel, hang out, listen to music (especially to the U2 band) and watch television. He was particularly fond of fast sports cars and a Bamba snack.

In 1992, Eyal completed his matriculation exams in the sociological track and began preparing for his military service.

In March 1992 he enlisted in the IDF for the “March 3” class and began his training in the “Tzabar” battalion of the Givati ​​Brigade, completing his basic training as an outstanding trainee. At the end of the comandor course, in 1994, he moved to the “Sabra” assistant. After a period of “young guys” assisted by Eyal Kors from the old “Dragon” and completed his service with assistance.
Eyal enjoyed his military service, and in addition to the high motivation he had to contribute to the state, his military service contributed personally, during which he acquired many good friends who affectionately called him “Montana” and “the Arm.”

Eyal used to point out at every opportunity that his army service was the best time of his life.

He began his trip to Bogota, the capital of Colombia, from there to Ecuador, trekking in the mountains of northern Peru, hiking in the jungles of Bolivia, and from there to the Iguazu Falls In Brazil, Eyal returned from Rio de Janeiro to Israel six months later
Upon returning to Israel, Eyal began studying at the Tel-Aviv-Jaffa Academic College in the Computer Science Department, and in 2001, after three and a half years, completed his undergraduate degree in Computer Science.

During his college studies, he began serving in the reserves of the Fifth Brigade’s Haruv Battalion.

In September 2000, when the events began in the territories and towards the beginning of April 2002, the attacks intensified throughout the country. Eyal felt that he could not stand idly by and wait for the reserve service to protect the home front.
After the attack at the Park Hotel in Netanya, the IDF launched Operation Defensive Shield, and was called to the service on the phone he received from the platoon commander and rushed to report on the Friday after the Seder. After a few days of organizing and training, Eyal’s battalion went on an operational mission in the refugee camp in Jenin, where terrorists escaped from the area. During the week the soldiers fought in the camp at constant risk of their lives. On the morning of April 9, 2002, Holocaust Martyrs ‘and Heroes’ Remembrance Day, Eyal and 12 of his comrades were killed in a battle in Jenin, He was laid to rest in the Kiryat Shaul Military Cemetery, leaving behind his parents, brother and sister, and after his death he was promoted to the rank of Major General.
Eyal risked his life and was killed for a cause he believed in wholeheartedly – defending the homeland while preserving humanity and human dignity during the battles.
